Out of the Shadow ist eine Reise durch Raum und Zeit bis in die dunkelsten Tiefen der menschlichen Seele. In großen und gewagten Bildern erzählen Choreograph Alex Wengler und die Compagnie Moving Shadows eine Geschichte von Sünde, Liebe, Gewalt und Vergebung. Die Bewegungssprache urbaner Tänze wie Breakdance, Popping und Locking mischen sich dabei mit neuartigen Partnering-Techniken welche die Körper der Darsteller zu verschiedensten Gebilden, Maschinen und Lebewesen verschmelzen lassen.

Die 1999 als reine Underground Breakdance Crew entstandene Formation Moving Shadows zählt mittlerweile zu den vielseitigststen und besten urbanen Tanzgruppen in Österreich und auf internationalem Parkett.

Moving Shadows ist bemüht durch ständige Weiterentwicklung und Offenheit für Neues, sowie die individuelle Art, Shows, Battles aber auch Theaterstücke zu inszenieren, national und internationl immer wieder auf sich aufmerksam zu machen.

„…Bei experimentelleren Gruppen war der Überraschungs-Faktor hingegen hoch. Die österreichische B-Boy Gruppe „Moving Shadows“ erntete mit ihrer Show "Out of the Shadow" Standing Ovations.
